У інфекційному контролі немає межі досконалості. Проте є мінімум, без якого рухатися не можливо. Першою з лише п’яти головних вимог до інфекційного контролю в закладах первинної медичної допомоги є належне впровадження гігієни рук. Доведено, що саме цей захід, начебто знайомий нам з дитинства, запобігає найбільшій кількості інфекцій, пов’язаних з наданням медичної допомоги.
Впровадження миття рук у лікувальному закладі – класичний приклад мультимодальної стратегії в інфекційному контролі, яка включає системні зміни, навчання та підготовку, нагадування на робочому місці, моніторинг і оцінку, та формування культури дотримання гігієни рук.
Експерти ГО “Інфекційний контроль в Україні” Ольга Мартиненко та Ірина Маслєннікова присвятили гігієні рук 13 онлайн-тренінгів в рамках програми USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (ВНА). В тренінгах взяли участь 238 медичних працівників центрів первинної медичної (медико-санітарної) допомоги з 11 міст України. Це були лікарі, медичні сестри центрів, амбулаторій та фельдшерсько-акушерських пунктів, а також представники адміністрації.
There is no limit to perfection in infection control. However, there is a minimum without which it is impossible to move. The first of only five major requirements for infection control in primary care facilities is the proper implementation of hand hygiene. It has been proven that this measure, which seems to be familiar to us since childhood, prevents the largest number of infections associated with the provision of medical care.
The implementation of handwashing in a healthcare facility is a classic example of a multimodal strategy in infection control that includes systemic change, education and training, workplace reminders, monitoring and evaluation, and building a culture of hand hygiene.
Experts of the NGO “Infection Control in Ukraine” Olha Martynenko and Iryna Maslennikova devoted 13 online training sessions to hand hygiene as part of the USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) program. 238 medical workers of primary medical (medical and sanitary) care centers from 11 cities of Ukraine took part in the training sessions. These were doctors, nurses of centers, outpatient clinics, and midwifery centers, as well as representatives of the administration.
