Поводження з відходами – питання болюче і без зв’язку з медичною допомогою.
Катастрофічної гостроти воно набуває у зв’язку з роботою лікувальних закладів, адже до видів відходів, які необхідно відокремлювати, додаються інфекційно небезпечні.
Немає в Україні лікувального закладу, що міг би похизуватися ідеальною організацією цього. У закладах первинної ланки їх утворюється не так багато, як у стаціонарах, проте це не означає, що поводження з відходами на первинці – це легка справа.
Тому експерт з інфекційного контролю Ольга Мартыненко присвятила черговий онлайн-тренінг саме відходам. Обговорили питання, що є в компетенції медичних працівників: сортування, збирання, маркування, тимчасового зберігання та подальшого оброблення, знешкодження та утилізації відходів. Окрема увага була присвячена можливості вторинного перероблення медичних відходів.
В тренінгу взяли участь медичні працівники ЦПМСД з 11 міст України, з якими ми співпрацюємо в рамках програми USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (ВНА), яку впроваджує Project HOPE.
Це були як представники адміністрації, так і рядові працівники – лікарі, медичні сестри центрів, амбулаторій та фельдшерсько-акушерських пунктів, особи, відповідальні за поводження з медичними відходами.
Waste management is a painful issue even not related to medical care.
It becomes catastrophically acute in connection with the work of medical facilities, because infectiously dangerous ones are added to the types of waste that must be separated.
There is no medical facility in Ukraine that could boast of an ideal organization of this. In primary care facilities, they are not generated as much as in hospitals, but this does not mean that handling waste at the primary level is an easy task.
That is why infection control expert Ольга Мартыненко devoted another online training specifically to waste. They discussed issues that are within the competence of medical workers: sorting, collecting, labeling, temporary storage and further processing, recycling and waste disposal. Special attention was paid to the possibility of secondary processing of medical waste.
The training was attended by medical workers of Centers for Primary Health Care from 11 cities of Ukraine, with whom we cooperate as part of the USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) program implemented by Project HOPE.
These were both representatives of the administration and ordinary workers – doctors, nurses of centers, outpatient clinics and medical and obstetric centers, persons responsible for handling medical waste.
